WebsiteCome the heat of summer, the early governors of South Australia used to retreat to this charming stone cottage in the Adelaide Hills. Built in the middle of the 19th century and restored during the 1970s, Old Government House became the first dwelling in South Australia to incorporate an indoor swimming pool. Today the cottage and separate servants quarters have been tastefully furnished in period-style. An elegant terrace surrounds the building while the garden beyond includes heritage roses, mature trees and a variety of period plants and flowers.
