WebsiteDeep Creek Conservation Park abuts the rugged south coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula, 11 kilometres east of Cape Jervis. Craggy hills, coastal cliffs, dense heath and stringybark forest lend the park a real wilderness feel. Look out for ferns and orchids in damper gullies, while in other areas giant grass-trees sprout from the bush like menacing triffids. Popular attractions in the park include camping, fishing and walking, together with bird and kangaroo watching. Permits are required for each of the five campgrounds but facilities vary at each. Admission: AUD6 day fee per car.
