You will find Red Star tucked away in cobbled Gilbert Street, about two minutes walk from Adelaide's shopping hub of Rundle Mall. The theme is distinctively red and black, although retro posters and Adelaide's latest theatrical offerings adorn the cafe walls. Look out for the striking mosaic steps. Dining highlights include olive bread (crusty, toasted lepinja with tapenade), combination sushi with fruit, and Vietnamese salad with shredded chicken and prawn. Patrons can choose from an excellent "chalk board" wine list.
