Website | EmailA very interesting aspect of the Amsterdams Historisch Museum is the Schuttersgallerij. 15 enormous life-size portraits of civic guards from the 17th Century adorn the walls of the street between Kalverstraat and Begijinhof. Possibly the only place where you would find paintings casually hung on a street. However they are protected by a glass sheath.
