One of the few bars with an underground rock ‘n roll feel to it, while at the same time exuding a friendly welcome to the tourists who manage to find it. Hidden in a backalley just off Dam square, it’s tiny, sweaty, cheap and has a pretty lousy sound system; all adding to its unpretentious and authentic spirit. Most nights you’ll find an old punk spinning garage, punk, and obscure rock ‘n roll 45s. The place to go to if you’re looking to get away from the obvious hipness of many Amsterdam bars; it’s the real thing, and actually pretty hip because of it.
