On the busiest corner of the Groenplaats, near the Cathedral, you can enjoy a snack with authentic Belgian Chips in Fritkot Max. This snack bar is situated in one of the old Patrician houses that surround the square and has a first floor with extra seating. The Chips are delicious and are served in traditional cornet bags. Chips are eaten with other Fried Meat snacks, like Sausages and Meat Balls with Mayonnaise. A full menu comes for very cheap, and you can eat on the premises or take away. The snack bar also has a terrace that is great in the summer when there are lots of street musicians.
