Website | EmailMany generations have known this restaurant in the old city opposite the Cathedral, and it is probably one of the oldest restaurants in Antwerp. It is a classy place but not too expensive. The interior has had many face-lifts and many of the original features have disappeared. Nevertheless, the Rooden Hoed has a great buzz to it and still attracts Antwerp residents and visitors. It serves the typical Belgian dishes like steak with pepper cream sauce, eel in parsley sauce and mussels, but it also serves lobster. The service is fast and friendly.
