Leaving Arequipa, taking the route toward Lima with a 7km detour from Corire in the district of Uraca, resides this stone sculpture complex known as Toro. 5,000 blocks of volcanic rock, which is most likely a product of the explosive volcanic eruptions of Coropuna or of Chachani in the tertiary era, 50 million years ago. It has an extension of 3,876 m of length by 250 m of width. Here one can appreciate animal shapes, plant shapes and others from the Huari and Chuquibamba Cultures.
