Website | EmailIn just under 25 quick years, the Aspen Filmfest has become as much a part of fall as the changing of the leaves. Each year this non-profit event showcases more than 100 feature films, documentaries and shorts, with a definite lean towards the independents. Filmmakers from all over the globe lead discussions on the art of movies, many of which are open to the public. Films are shown at the Wheeler Opera House and downvalley, in Carbondale, at the Crystal Theatre. The films are all open to the public, but tickets do go fast. Admission: General USD12; Matinées USD9. Admission for lectures, tributes and other special events vary.
