Website | EmailIn an area that experiences its share of spectacles and celebrity glitter on an almost daily basis, the Snowmass Balloon Festival is the one rare events that make even the locals stop and gawk in amazement. The festival features more than 50 wildly colored hot air balloons which, coupled with the mountain backdrops, create a true show of beauty. Balloon participants will compete in viewer friendly games such as Target Tubing, which requires dropping tennis balls through floating inner tubes, and Dawn Quixote, which involves popping tethered weather balloons with jousting sticks.
