Nikaia Olympic Weightlifting Hall is regarded as the world's greatest weightlifting venue in the world. The stadium is equipped with a main gymnasium, additonal space for warming up as well as a hostel for athletes. This is the first ever stadium in the world that focuses on the sport of weightlifting. An indication of how popular weightlifting has become in the last few years. Nikaia has a seating capacity of 5,000, and is an enormous half dome shaped structure with Greek looking columns. It is a magnificant stadium, with hills in the background, as well as being a stones throw away from the port of Piraeus.
