Located in the heart of Athens city, this stadium holds a distinct value in the history of the Olympic games. This stadium was the venue of the first modern Olympic games in 1896. It also holds the distinction of being the only stadium in the world made entirely by marble. During the 2004 Athens games, it was the finishing point for the Marathon race, and the venue for the Archery events. This place is a must-see for its historic value.
