Website | EmailHikers will find a network of marked paths at the Mt. Parnitha National Park, which is located 32 kilometers north of Athens. On the base of the mountain (which reaches a height of 1,413 meters) is a cablecar taking passengers to the casino and Hotel Mont Parnes, which offers a spectacular view of the city. The funicular station is the starting point for marked hiking trails. Another hiking route begins at the Moni Kliston Monastery and follows the Goura Gorge to the rock-climbing site at Arma and to Pan Cave where the god Pan was worshipped thousands of years ago.
