Website | EmailThis red brick sanctuary was built in 1931 by noted local architect Philip Trammell Shutze in classic block style. The Flemish bond pattern of the limestone and cement-stucco structure is dominated by a dramatic drum dome, which is easily visible from a distance. In addition to being a popular landmark, the Temple is a keystone of Atlanta's Jewish community, and it organizes many programs aimed at encouraging understanding and cooperation between different religions.
