This is a barber shop plain and simple, the way your grand dad remembers a barber shop, with a striped pole, four chairs, old men, and lots of good hometown gossip. A sign in the window declares "Microwave in Use," offering a clue that the pacemaker crowd might show up periodically. The fanciest thing about the place may well be the intricate bird's nest that's been carefully built into the large air conditioning unit that sticks out over the sidewalk. No frills, no fuss. A barber shop. Thank goodness.
