Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the hotel was built in the Flatiron style, with an immense atrium that greets guests in the lobby flanked by lush side rooms and banquet halls. When Gone With the Wind was being shot in Georgia, the Terrace played host to stars Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh, and then also to the gala cast party held in 1939 after the movie's world debut around the corner.
