Since its erection around the 11th century, this temple has been an extremely important place of worship for Balinese Hindus. At the time of the Pejeng kingdom, Pusering Jagat Temple functioned as a Sad Khayangan temple. Numerous ancient remains lie within the shrines, including sacred statues bearing figures of demons and gods. Commanding a special pavilion of its own and by far the most significant antiquity, a stone vessel sports a relief that depicts a scene from the Mahabharata and a chronogram dating from A.D. 1329. The temple ceremony falls on Kliwon Wuku Medangsia (a Tuesday). Admission: By donation.
