Take a metered taxi to Jalan Sulawesi in Denpasar and explore the row of fabric shops. The entire stretch stocks an endless array of beautiful textiles—rayon, cotton, silk organza, silk, Chinese satins and synthetic Indian saris with decorative trimmings. A riot of color, each shop offers something a bit different, so it is worth spending some time scouring and comparing the various choices. Although one may still bargain further, the already-competitive prices may not justify the time.
