Website | EmailWhat better place to hold an ice sculpture competition than on a frozen lake at the base of a stunning glacier. This internationally renowned event draws talented ice artists from around the world. Watch as they chip, carve and saw 140-kilogram blocks of ice into works of art. The competition is centered around the beautiful Chateau Lake Louise, but carving sites are scattered around the Lake Louise area. Come watch the artists at work, and view their masterpieces until March when the spring sun melts them away. Free admission. The event takes place on the second Friday of January every year.
