This festival has become a favorite for participating teams for the keenness of competition, as well as the spirit of congeniality, craziness and fun. Hockey teams from all corners of the world from South America to the Middle East, Europe, USA and the Caribbean converge in Barbados to take on their local counterparts. Men's, women's and mixed hockey teams participate in this much-anticipated summer event. The festival is sponsored by Banks (Barbados) Beer, and games are played on the Astroturf at the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex.
