WebsiteThe Kensington Oval, after standing for many years was demolished and rebuilt in the years between 2005 and 2007, getting ready for the 2007 Cricket World Cup final between Australia and Sri Lanka. It is the home field of Pickwick CC and the stands now hold up to 28,000 spectators. At the entrance to the Kensington Oval is a statue of Sir Garfield Sobers, a national hero of Barbados. The grounds have also been home to many other events, including concerts, Miss Barbados, and other sporting events.
