Website | EmailThe Portvale Sugar Factory hosts the Sir Frank Hutson Sugar Machinery Museum, which displays old sugar works machinery collected by Sir Frank, an engineer, and describes the process of cultivating sugar and its by-products, including rum and molasses. The sugar factory is modern, and you can tour it during the sugar harvest (January to June) to see how sugar is made today. There is an admission cost for the factory and museum tour, or you can elect to tour the museum only.
