This plantation great house is still owned and occupied by descendants of the original owners. It has an impressive collection of maps and prints, including the first printed map of Barbados, done by Richard Ligon in 1657. The furnishings feature the intricate work of Barbadian craftsmen of the 19th century, including pieces in Barbadian mahogany. Located in a quiet wooded area, Francia's extensive lawns and beautifully maintained gardens have won it acclaim in many international magazines and television programs. The admission fee includes a complimentary drink.
