Website | EmailMore than a century ago, the Marine Hotel blazed the trail as the first American-owned and operated hotel in Barbados. Its proprietor, George S. Pomeroy, was a colorful character who set new standards in hospitality. After the original hotel fell into disrepair, it was reconstructed in 1998 as what is now known as the Hospitality Institute and Hotel PomMarine. The facility is the training hotel for the Barbados hospitality industry and offers service and cuisine executed by enthusiastic trainees and professionals. Rooms have private en-suite bathrooms, queen-sized beds and private balconies.
