Although not many people will remember the post-war boxing champion Franz Diener, his pub near Savignyplatz is still extremely popular. Local celebrities can often be seen digging into a schnitzel or meat loaf, but most of the customers are regular people attracted by the old world atmosphere and the competitive prices. Not recommended for vegetarians, the menu contains classic German dishes like roast pork and dumplings.
