Website | EmailBefore the Wall came down, an internationally renowned hotel chain would have thought more than once about opening a new branch in the heart of Berlin's working-class district of Moabit. Although the location is central, with Zoo Station and the Western city centre just a couple of underground stops away, this was hardly a place to do good hotel business. However, since the German parliament decided that Berlin should once again become the German capital, things have changed for Moabit. Its immediate proximity to the new government quarter is a major point in its favour and the Park Consul, inaugurated in 1991, stands to benefit. The building is modern and functional, with good service a matter of course. Behind the building is a golf range where you can practice your putting and driving.
