Haweli is a friendly Indian restaurant popular with Indian families - an encouraging sign if ever there was one. £5 will buy most main courses, and the owner has even been known to offer complimentary drinks if you eat enough. If you're lucky the tandoori bateira will be on the menu - a spicy roasted quail - and since you'll probably still be hungry after that try the tandoori mixed grill (£7.50). Everything on the menu sounds tempting and there is a seemingly endless selection of naans - the Haweli special is recommended. Things are getting busier here these days so booking is recommended, but if no tables are available then the takeaways are superb.
