Chic, minimalist decor in cream and brown tones and a waterfront location gives Zinc an edge over several Birmingham restaurants. It is a two-storeyed space with ample inlets for natural light. Upstairs lies the splendid fifty-feet long bar, topped with marble where you can order your beer, wine and cocktails. The food is a healthy blend of the East and the West; Chilly Squid, Thai Chicken Skewers and Grilled Haloumi shows the Asian side of Zinc, while Moules Marinières, Mozzarella and Basil Bruschetta reveal the European one. Choose either of the two, but don't give this two-faced restaurant a miss!
