Caffe Uno is bright and welcoming. It serves freshly prepared pizza, pasta with homemade sauces and daily specials. As an example, salmon and asparagus tagliatelle can be had for £7.35. Morning coffee and good, wholesome breakfasts (£4.75 for the top of the range traditional variety) are also dished up. If you want a drink and you don't fancy a coffee, a sensuous hot chocolate with lashings of cream is recommended. The décor is an odd mix of colonial and Mediterranean influences, but cozy armchairs make for a relaxing stay. Prices are reasonable, given the smartness of the place and its excellent location.
