A sister pub to the nearby Shakespeare, The Troc has a more pleasant ambience thanks to a cosier interior. Alcoves and a wider array of seating make this a comfortable place to chat your way through a lunchtime session, and there is now occasional live music for a more raucous evening out. The normal range of beers and lagers is available at reasonable prices. The food is cheap and cheerful but unsophisticated - pie and chips, curries, salads and burgers.
