This museum traces the history of wine through the ages, realized through the participation of the artists and craftsmen of Bordeaux. Visitors are familiarized with the Gallo-Roman epoch up to the 19th century. Various scenes are reconstructed with 75 costumed wax characters, while audio plays in French, English, German and Japanese. 13 scenes comprising 600m² present the key elements of the history of wine. The visit includes a "historic" wine tasting including a Roman wine (made according to texts dating from the Roman epoch), an 1850's wine, and a modern wine.
