Since its beginning in 1979, this multicultural event has grown from its initial inception as a huge party showcasing Greek culture to Queensland's largest one-day ethnic festival. More than 20,000 people from Brisbane's Greek community gather to showcase their culture and display their customs. This makes for a wonderful day of activities and entertainment to dazzle all five senses. From cultural activities such as Greek music, art, exhibitions, films, traditional dance and lectures to the flavours and aromas of Greek cuisine, beer and wine showcased at more than 40 stalls, this promises to be a day filled with fun. The festival also offers a chance to win a trip for two to Greece, cooking demonstrations, live local and global radio broadcasts and a fireworks display. Admission: Adults AUD7, Pensioner AUD2, Children (12 & under) Free.
