With 46 race meetings a year, the Garden Racecourse as it is now known, is the home of the Brisbane Turf Club. Opened in 1923, the course is rich in tradition and Doomben race days continue to be one of the highlights of the social calendar. Entertainment is always provided in between races and special events such as "Young Race Goers Day" keep the racing scene vibrant and exciting.
