Website | EmailLocated along the Brisbane River boardwalk is the historic Customs House. Opened in 1889, it served as a customs centre until port activities shifted to the river mouth. Now it contains an art gallery, restaurant, museum and reception rooms. Wander around and think back 100 years, pretending you are the boss, dressed in your stiff collar of course! Inside, do not miss the copper-domed “Long Room”. Above, the large star central light represents all points of the compass. This is a great setting for musical concerts and functions. Also check the magnificent staircase.
