Most vegetarian restaurants are content just to serve non-meat products, but at Pu Kwong “meat”—in name only—is on the menu! The decor is very plain, but the food sure does brighten up the room. Pu Kwong specialize in making Asian "meat dishes", containing non-animal meat substitutes (probably tofu or bean curd) that taste as close as possible to the real thing. Popular dishes include Sweet and Sour Pork and the delicious Fillet in Black Pepper Sauce.
