One of the new landmarks of the newly refurbished Queen Street Mall is the eclectic Malones Café and Restaurant. Open and licensed for 24 hours, it is a constant party, with excellent music, and large, but private outdoors area. The décor is modern and cosy indoors, compared with the beer garden feel outside. The food range and price vary from 24-hour pasta at AUD5, to Thai prawns. However, Malones is renowned for its succulent Italian cuisine, with the pizzas.
