With a bald eagle as their mascot, people flock to Alices for a bit of Americana Down Under. Located next to The Criterion Tavern, the walls are lined with All-American trinkets, but if you want to see them, it is best to arrive before the stampede begins at 1am. If you want a live rock band, then turn right after going down the stairs. If you want a DJ mixing up techno and some R & B then go straight ahead. Alices Bar and Club is particularly loved by students, who gather there religiously every Thursday night for AUD1 drinks.
