Sprawling onto the street, Alberto's is like an authentic Italian restaurant oozing onto the sidewalk in Rome. Tables lit by candlelight enhance the romanticism, and if you happen to be discovering a blooming romance, give your waiter a nudge, the chef often has a cheeky surprise for couples on a date. Pizza, pasta and all Italian cuisine (dishes from around AUD15) are a cut above most Italian restaurants and the herb bread is delicious.
