Located at the forefront of the Valley, the Shamrock Hotel needs no gimmicks to instill a sense of Irishness in its patrons. Established in the 1880s, the Shamrock is one of Brisbane's long-standing monuments to the Australian love of the dark ale and a bit of European heritage. The interior is simple, but the patrons are a jovial bunch, never short of a good yarn. Local beers are also available on tap and prices are reasonable.
