Website | EmailFor forty years the Queensland Ballet has been delivering classical dance of the highest standard to local, national and sometimes international audiences. The company was established in 1960 by Charles Lisner OBE and produces lavish, traditional works as well as more innovative, contemporary pieces. The company is one of only three full-time professional ballet companies in Australia and the dancers are known for their exceptional skills and fluent expression. An extensive season is held annually in Brisbane. Tours of regional Queensland enable professional ballet productions to reach distant audiences. The Queensland Ballet also has a well-established education program.
