Website | EmailThe Sint-Peterskerk is a remarkable edifice worth visiting for its architecture, artwork, and relics. It is a late Gothic church, built on a plot of land which had held churches since 986, its own construction beginning around 1425. Its history is plagued with fires, partial collapses, and damage sustained during both World Wars; however, the Church has retained a phenomenal selection of religious artwork which includes the 'The Last Supper', the internationally renowned 15th century triptych by Dirk Bouts. A 12th century wooden head, another Bouts painting, and a number of 15th century sculptures may also be appreciated inside.
