EmailChocolate lovers can always rest easy in Argentina; the country has a definite sweet tooth. But Kakao Maroa is a different story altogether. At this Venezuelan chocolate shop, café, and bookstore (the flagship café is in Caracas), guests can taste the thick, pure hot chocolate while flipping through art books featuring contemporary Argentine and Venezuelan artists. Exquisite screen-printed chocolates in flavors such as Chandon Champagne, Malbec Wine, exotic flowers, and tropical fruits can be hand-selected for purchase and taken away in original artist-designed boxes. The glassed-in chocolate workshop, located in the café, offers a look at just what goes into making those fine delicacies. -Elizabeth Gleeson
