Website | EmailFamous for its Brigadoon festival each April, this special village is the gateway to Morton National Park. Bundanoon was a favourite destination for honeymooners in the 1940s, and today it offers a range of excellent restaurants and cafes, craft shops and galleries, plus accommodation from youth hostels and bed and breakfast to a Buddhist Monastery. Heritage houses, bush-clad gullies filled with wildlife, and monthly markets are just some of the attractions. The 30 minute walk to Glow Worm Glen is unsurpassable. Resembling darting, brilliant lights against the night, the glow-worms glow all the brighter the hungrier they are.
