WebsiteAustralians have always been quick to take to new music, and jazz was no exception. From its inception with black Americans, jazz has evolved into many different kinds. But for the purist, there is nothing like traditional jazz. Come and enjoy listening to classical jazz and ragtime by performers from all over Australia, including local groups at Old Parliament House in the Classical Jazz Festival. There are six sessions of music, celebrating 100 years of jazz, over the three days of the festival.
