Travelling north west from Goulburn, you enter goldfield territory. The small town of Crookwell is packed with places to visit, while to its north there are many gold-mining villages. Of particular interest is Tuena Village featuring the Goldfields Inn (1860) one of the oldest wattle and daub inns in Australia. Also to the north are the fascinating Abercrombie Caves. Crookwell itself specialises in historic mills. The old Stephenson's Wheat Mill, opened in 1870, has been restored as a museum. The Weaving Mill, producing quality woven fabrics and textiles is also worth visiting.
