WebsiteThe ANZAC Memorial Chapel serves as the religious centre for the defence community of Canberra. It was funded by public subscription and opened on 30 April, 1966, as a memorial to the ANZACs of World War I. The entrance to the Chapel is lined with mountain ash and has tall, narrow, glass windows. Above this is a hexagon-shaped tower with a copper roof, surmounted with a copper-sheathed spire and cross. The building contains two separate Chapels, one is Roman Catholic, and the other is combined Anglican and Protestant.
