The Wig and Pen is surrounded by the law firms for which it was named. However, its clientele now extends beyond lawyers enjoying an after-work drink, to encompass a diverse range of students, young executives and musicians, who come to enjoy the odd pint of Guinness. Modelled on traditional English pubs, with plenty of wood panelling, cosy booths and steak and kidney pies, the Wig and Pen is a wonderful sanctuary on a cold night. Traditional English fare is on offer here - hot chips and pies. Noteworthy for beer-lovers is the on-premises brewery. Drink prices start at about AUD3.50.
