Primarily initiated to promote a sense of unity and tolerance among its multicultural citizens, the extravaganza also promotes African art internationally. The event takes place in various theatres, museums, auditoriums and restaurants in the city, which play host to a myriad of visual and performing art shows, dances, poetry, youth programmes and music specific to the cultural diversity of the people. Formerly held in March, the festival dates are subject to change, so make sure you keep yourself posted.
