Website | EmailThis 56-kilometre ultra-marathon takes place in April and attracts about 8,000 participants. The Two Oceans has a worldwide reputation as one of the most magnificent ultra-marathon courses. Steep, gruelling climbs up tough mountain passes are rewarded with spectacular views over the Cape Peninsula and distant mountain ranges. Strict qualification standards ensure all competitors are of an adequate fitness level. The day is well-supported by large roadside crowds cheering the weary runners on. For the not so fit, there is a 21-kilometre half marathon and various fun runs. No fee to watch.
