EmailAlbacore tuna, also called longfins, are a migratory species that begin to arrive off the South African coast every October. By November, the concentration of albacore peaks, and anglers from around the world gather in Cape Town to try their hand at landing one of these prized creatures. Albacore can reach up to 70 lbs. and are great fighters, so bringing one in is quite a physical feat. Join up with some local fishermen and make sure you've done your bicep curls before you head out!
